Here we go again…
Overwhelmingly, many people in the United States of America are gearing up to celebrate perhaps one of the darkest days of the secular year – Halloween. And not for the first time. As regular as Summer’s Warmth or Winter’s Chill, the occult holiday of Halloween appears somewhere in between.
You won’t find any description of a celebration of death, occultism, madness, or sorcery in Leviticus 23 or in the 16th Chapter of Deuteronomy. This holiday fits nowhere into the exacting sequence of God’s Holy Day Plan of Salvation, in which He reveals His will for mankind.
So – we know that Halloween is not given by God to mankind. That means that Halloween was given by Satan the Devil. This holiday – like many holidays – is a counterfeit – a deception foisted upon mankind by humanity’s greatest opponent:
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
-1 Peter 5:8
Holidays like Halloween lead us away from the true knowledge of God because they obscure or hide God’s purpose in creating mankind. His purpose being that God is reproducing Himself through His creation:
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

Satan, however, would not have us know the joy and liberation of God’s Plan of Salvation for All Mankind. The adversary wants humanity to think of themselves as no more than animals destined to eternal nothingness after our lives end. Can you think of anything more depressing than that idea? Well, maybe it’s the idea of roasting for eternity after death (The Devil has the market on that Lie covered too)?
Most of us know that these teachings and holidays are lies concocted by the Devil to deceive mankind – who do not understand God’s Truth. This is simply because they have not been given God’s Spirit yet!
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God… But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

As we come closer and closer to Christ’s return to set up his Kingdom upon this very earth – Satan has been ramping up his lies and counterfeits. A troubling metric of the adversary’s campaign’s intensity is the rise in Halloween’s popularity and America’s growing fixation on Death.
Halloween celebrations have exploded in popularity in the US, from almost non-existent 100 years ago to the multibillion-dollar industry it has been for the last decade. In fact, 2026 is projected to top all previous years with an estimated 13-15 billion Dollars in Halloween-related spending.
Along with the boom in Halloween Celebrations, the macabre has also boomed. An unquenchable thirst for horror movies. This genre now tops all the others – pulling in 1.2 billion domestically for 2025. This industry is projected to make even more in 2026.
Horror Movies are especially popular with Gen Z (ages 18-34), who account for 68% of the audience for these types of movies. In fact, 91% of the Gen Z cohort watch Horror movies regularly. Among the most current popular horror movie topics are serial killers and zombies.
It seems that a large portion of people in the United States of America are focused on death. Satan certainly has been very busy with the minds of Americans – twisting their God-given love for life into a love of death. It may not be too controversial to suggest that many Americans are knowingly or unknowingly part of a Death Cult.
We could look into several reasons for this – socioeconomic, political, or religious, but ultimately this love of death comes from a lack of the Knowledge of God and His truth. That separation from God, along with Satan’s influence over this world, has twisted the minds of so many people. They have made the mistake of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden by choosing to eat from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil rather than the Tree of Life.
In eating from the forbidden tree – the vast majority of humanity has separated themselves from God the Father and from Jesus Christ. This story seems destined to play out again and again until Christ Returns.
When Christ returns – Satan will be locked away from influencing the hearts and minds of humanity for a Thousand Years, and they will have the opportunity to eat from the Tree of Life – Christ and his Way of Life. They will truly know God’s love and the path that leads to Eternity as spirit beings, members of the Family of God.
God’s Church, however, has been given a tremendous blessing. By God’s unending grace, we can now eat from the Tree of Life. We can partake of God’s Way of Life and tether ourselves to our Lord Jesus Christ in this very existence.
When our King returns – we can be Born Anew as Spirit and rehabilitate this Earth. Halloween will be abolished – the Death Cult will be dismantled – and God’s Truth will be the Law of this planet. God has planned a bright and beautiful future for all mankind. The Church has been privileged to glimpse that coming Government of God and to keep His Law. Are you taking advantage of that tremendous privilege and blessing? Are you eating from the Tree of Life?
